World Habitat Day, 3rd October

In 2022, World Habitat Day (#WHD2022) under the theme “Mind the Gap. Leave No One and Place Behind” looks at the problem of growing inequality and challenges in cities and human settlements. World Habitat Day 2022 seeks to draw attention to the growing inequalities and vulnerabilities that have been exacerbated by the triple ‘C’ crises — COVID-19, climate and conflict. The #Lab4GE partners recognize that Act local to go global is an effective committed for making our communities better around the world.

International Day of Peace – 21st September

Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire.
The #Lab4GE partners recognize that we all have a role to play in fostering peace. And tackling racism is a crucial way to contribute.

International Day of Democracy, 15th September

The International Day of #Democracy provides an opportunity to review the state of democracy in the world. Democracy is as much a process as a goal, and only with the full participation of and support by the international community, national governing bodies, civil society and individuals, can the ideal of democracy be made into a reality to be enjoyed by everyone, everywhere. The #Lab4GE partners are committed for achieving the Goal 16 of #UN #Agenda2030 – “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” – directly connected with this World Day.

International Literacy Day – September, 8th

Since 1967, International Literacy Day (ILD) celebrations have taken place annually around the world to remind the public of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights, and to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society. “Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces” is the theme for the celebration in 2022.
