International Youth Day – 12th August

Young people are on the frontlines of the struggle to build a better future for all. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the dire need for the kind of transformational change they seek – and young people must be full partners in that effort.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres

Youth can be a positive force for development when provided with the knowledge and opportunities they need to thrive. Today there are 1.2 billion young people aged 15 to 24 years, accounting for 16 per cent of the global population.

We use this occasion to raise awareness of the work that is being done to promote equality of rights and access in our different countries and share our best practices.

The Learn Abroad to do Better at home for Gender Equality project is funded by Erasmus+ and more information about the project are available on Associazione Sud website: click here
